Dear Neighbor,
My wife Anna and I are the proud parents of three wonderful children. All three have thrived in our small public schools, and we want the same for all the schoolchildren of district 17.
I chose to run for the Texas House to make their future brighter, to protect our private property rights from massive projects like the Trans Texas Corridor, to decrease our dependence on foreign energy, and to make our border more secure.
I believe our small town values are what make Texas and America great. Progress means a lot of change, but my values will never change. We must protect our rural values as we make things better for our children and our economy.
I believe in firm limits on government. Strong local schools. Tax relief for property owners and small businesses. More domestic drilling, alternative fuels and Texas energy know-how to reduce reliance on Middle Eastern oil. And strong border security to enforce the rule of law and stop criminal activity before it gets to small town Texas.
Faith, family and freedom are the three pillars of our communities, and I will always vote to keep it that way.
